About Sweetwater
Founded in 2021 by Zach Jones, Sweetwater Therapy is a Fargo-based practice specializing in pediatric speech and language development as well as feeding therapy. For six years, Zach worked in early intervention services for infants and toddlers and was continually frustrated by the lack of support options for children over age three. He founded Sweetwater Therapy so that he could provide research-based, innovative, and compassionate therapy for kids and their families during that critical development time and beyond. Since then, he’s expanded his practice to include older children and teenagers because kids of all ages deserve their best chance to thrive.

FAQs
What ages do you work with?
Sweetwater Kids are infants, toddlers, preschoolers, children, and teenagers.
Do you offer free screening?
Yes. After our initial conversation, we can meet to determine whether your child would benefit from our services.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sanford Health Plan, and North Dakota Medicaid and intend to expand our insurance partnerships.
What if my insurance does not cover this therapy?
Other payment arrangements can be made on an individual basis.
Why do you need a doctor’s order to provide therapy?
Most insurance companies require a referral from the child’s primary care provider. Your pediatrician (or nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant) will send Sweetwater Therapy orders to evaluate and treat your child.
Where does therapy take place?
One of our therapists will travel to your home, child’s daycare, or after-school program for regularly scheduled therapy sessions. We consider our travel time part of our service to you, so we do not charge for travel.
How long are your sessions?
Sessions range from 30-45 minutes long. This gives our clinicians enough time to connect with your child and work toward our goals while still keeping your child engaged.
How long will my child be in therapy?
It will probably not surprise you that the answer is “It depends.” The length of therapy is determined by various factors, such as your child’s specific needs, goals, and caregiver collaboration.
